Do Not Submit Rogers Park 2019
Do Not Submit: As of January 2019, I am one of two new co-hosts for Rogers Park's Do Not Disturb storytelling open mic nights. The free monthly event is every first Monday. Click here to find more free, monthly events around Chicagoland. (Food and drinks are available for purchase.) I was also one of eight storytellers for the monthly This Much Is True performance.
Sacred Ground Chicago: "Stories for the Spirit"
This Sacred Ground Chicago event was held on Thursday, May 9. Fun fact: One of the storytellers happened to be at the storytelling event at the District 30 Spring Conference. I had no idea he was a storyteller for this event, too.
District 30 Spring Conference (Toastmasters)
This annual spring conference was from May 3-5, 2019. For more photos (and less of me), visit Unity Toastmasters' Facebook and/or Twitter page.
First Person Live: April 2019
I had an absolute blast at First Person Live on April 4, 2019, telling my story for "Win Lose Draw" about my grandfather, the "Memory" game and my beauty salon days. I got stopped a bunch of times to hear grandfather stories about who could top the stunt my (best man in the WORLD) grandfather did. One lady told me, "Your hair looks great." My grandmother would've been so proud. If you're interested in being a storyteller for this event, visit here to find out how to submit your story.

#HashtagLunchbagChicago (July 2016)
#HashtagLunchbag is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the goal of feeding the homeless. The goal at this Chicago event was to pack at least 1,200 bag lunches for the homeless. After packing the items, I then delivered water and lunches to two locations: Connections for Abused Women and Their Children (CAWC) and Deborah's Place. To find out about the next #HashtagLunchbag event in Chicago, click here. For nationwide locations, click the official site.
