But more importantly, as a previous journalist and now Editorial Writer, I've always been fascinated by other people. In college, an associate of mine used to see me coming down the hill on the Marquette, Michigan campus and go "There goes Why!" Why? Because there was about a 99.9 percent chance that if I was around you for long enough, I was going to find a way to interview you or try to dig around in your brain. People fascinate me. It's one of the reasons I like the interviewing process so much. I like to know what's on (almost) everyone's minds.
So when I was invited to Toastmaster's with a co-worker who was doing a speech on her CTA gripes, that was an instant win for me. Sharing my opinion in front of a large group of people. Getting into other people's brains. Creating presentations. Impromptu response. I'm in!
In this blog, I will run down all of the completed speeches I've given so far. Feel free to download any of them and share.
